James T. Witkop

Mr. Witkop has specialized in the defense of workers’ compensation cases since 2004. Prior to that, he worked as a civil litigator for more than five years. Mr. Witkop’s early legal experience includes prestigious internships with Temple Chambers in Hong Kong, China and with the Oakland Raiders legal department prior to graduating from Santa Clara School of Law in 2000.

Mr. Witkop works with all Northern California WCABs and all major ADR programs. He works on behalf of insured and self-insured clients and handles a wide variety of workers’ compensation cases, including subrogation, serious and willful misconduct and 132a discrimination matters.

With a strong background in labor and employment litigation, Mr. Witkop is able to advise employers about matters that may develop during a workers’ compensation claim. Mr. Witkop provides a distinct, full service approach toward workers’ compensation defense.
